Dr Adeel has 15 years of experience in the Australian medical system and has worked in
various hospitals in Melbourne before moving to full-time General Practice. He worked as a
Country GP in rural Victoria for 8 years before deciding to move to Melbourne. He also holds
a professional Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine. His other fields of expertise are Mental
Health, Paediatrics and Aged Care. He can also provide workplace medicals. Apart from
this, he enjoys providing a holistic care approach to patients and their families.

Dr Shiraz completed his medical degree in 2001 from Dow Medical College,Karachi ,Pakistan . With the experience of 22 years in healthcare sector he is passionate to deliver quality preventative and evidence based healthcare. Shiraz relocated to Australia in 2005 and trained initially at Ballarat Base hospital and started General practice in 2011. He has worked at numerous locations in Australia on permanent and locum contracts and enjoyed travelling with family and experiencing work and lifestyle of many metropolitan, country and remote communities all around Australia. Outside of medicine, Shiraz enjoys playing sports including Squash, Cricket and Table Tennis.

Dr. Arsallan Siddiqui joined our team in September 2024, bringing with him a wealth of diverse medical experience. Before this, he served as a GP registrar in the Albury-Wodonga region, honing his skills in a variety of healthcare settings. His background also includes time at the Northern Hospital in Epping, as well as the completion of the Child Health Program at Sydney Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Siddiqui has a wide range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on travel medicine, weight management, aged care, pediatrics, and skin cancer care.

Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Siddiqui is an avid adventurer, enjoying trekking, gaming, and exploring new destinations.

Dr. Ahmad Al-Sharifi is a highly distinguished General Practitioner with a remarkable career spanning over 30 years. As a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP, MBChB), Dr. Al-Sharifi brings a wealth of knowledge, clinical stability, and diverse experience to the Medical Select team.

Prior to focusing on General Practice, Dr. Al-Sharifi spent 15 years as a Registrar in charge of Emergency Departments. This extensive background in acute care leadership has equipped him with exceptional skills in managing urgent, complex, and high-pressure medical situations.

Dr. Al-Sharifi is a comprehensive medical practitioner who provides a full scope of general practice services. He has special interests in Aged Care, Children’s Health, Women’s Health, and Men’s Health. Additionally, he is highly experienced in chronic disease management, preventative health screenings, immunizations, mental health support, and minor surgical procedures.

Dr. Al-Sharifi is passionate about providing accessible care to the community and is fluent in both English and Arabic.

Dr. Reza Shoaee Poshteh is a highly experienced General Practitioner who brings over 18 years of clinical knowledge to the Medical Select team. After obtaining his medical degree in 2005 in Iran, he spent over a decade honing his skills as a generalist, working across diverse healthcare settings.

Dr. Shoaee Poshteh relocated to Australia in 2017, initially practicing in Perth before moving to Melbourne in 2021. His career has taken him through both rural and metropolitan communities, providing him with a unique depth of experience in handling a wide variety of medical presentations.

Madiha Abid is a registered psychologist committed to delivering evidence-based, client-centred care to individuals and families across the lifespan. She provides Medicare-billed psychological interventions under GP Mental Health Care Plans and works closely with GPs, hospital teams, and allied health professionals to ensure integrated and outcome-focused treatment.

With expertise in a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and mindfulness-based approaches, Madiha supports clients from diverse backgrounds, including culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTQIA+ clients, and women experiencing family violence.

Madiha also works extensively with NDIS participants, providing both therapeutic supports and comprehensive diagnostic assessments. She is skilled in tools such as the ADOS-2, WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, ADHD assessments, and educational assessments. She produces high-quality reports to support NDIS funding applications, educational planning, and medico-legal purposes. Areeba works with children, young people, and their families to overcome numerous challenges presented during the childhood and adolescence stages and assists them in developing the resiliency required to manage adversities in a warm and nurturing environment. When working with children, young people, and their families, she strives for a collaborative approach to overcome difficulties whilst complementing current strengths.
